Coastal Living and Beach Vacations
No matter what season it is, nothing beats a vacation near the beach. Whether you dream about
the rugged New England coastline or the palm trees of the Gulf Coast, the beach is the perfect
getaway. In addition to the sand, the surf, and the sun - our US coastlines offer many other
activities - historic lighthouses, breathtaking views, beautiful state parks, picturesque harbors,
and sleepy coastal towns.
"Who does not love the sea? The beach is a place of healing and joy. The salt cleanses us and
the sun embraces us in it's warmth. The ocean heals the heart, mind and soul."

Sea glass begins as just ordinary pieces of broken glass that are rolled and tumbled for years by the ocean, until the sharp edges are smoothed and rounded, and the slickness of the glass has been worn to a smooth, frosted look. It usually originates from bottles or any other glass products that are thrown on the beach or in the ocean. Sometimes these items are thrown overboard from boats or ships, or even in some cases, they are from a town dump or trash heap located too close to the shoreline. So, basically, someone else's trash eventually becomes the beautiful pieces of sea glass so sought after by collectors!   More about Sea Glass...
